Tansi/Hello friends and families!
This month at the EYFRC, we are excited to announce that we have two of our most popular programs returning for the first time since covid hit. Toddler Talk and Baby Babble are returning this month and will be hosted by Speech Path Nicole Sax!! These programs will run once a month each, so watch out for our calendar to be posted, as well as our weekly program reminders.
February came up fast! We are grateful that the sun is rising earlier and setting later now. We have had a few staffing changes and would like to introduce our new team members! If you see new faces around please say “hi”! Everyone will be wearing name tags to indicate who they are what they do with us at EYFRC:
- Amanda Harden, EYFRC Kids First Home Visitor
- Shalene Keepness, Triple P Practitioner
- Alicia Bemis, EYFRC Facilitator
A reminder that the EYFRC has moved towards other ways of offering play and developmental opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our community. We hope this provides more opportunities for access for everyone. All our programing is now offered as open-ended opportunities. As always, facilitators are on the floor to support families within the space, so families can support their children’s learning.
* Triple P sessions will still require pre-registration. *
Visiting Professionals
A Speech and Language Pathologist and a Nutritionist will be on site, on scheduled dates, to answer questions and share information. Please watch our calendar and our Facebook page for details.
Program Name Change
We have changed the Young Chefs program to Happy Snackers to better reflect what the program is. We are making healthy snacks, not cooking meals.

The ASQ’s can be done in private sessions, or in a group to meet each family’s needs. Support for referrals is also supported through this program. Please contact Pam at pashurst@earlylearning.ca if you are interested in this.
Other News
We are continuing to be mask friendly in our indoor space. We will continue to be vigilant in our cleaning and sanitizing of our space in order to keep everyone as safe as possible. We do ask that if your child puts any toys in their mouth that they be placed in the used toy boxes that are place around the center for more thorough cleaning.
Please visit our online calendar, see our current Program Posters, and visit our Facebook and Instagram for pre-recorded and live sessions! Any program and schedule changes will be posted on our Facebook page.
Thank you for your dedicated support!
