Parent Advisory Committee

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) has an important role in the Early Years Family Resource Centre (EYFRC). PAC members are the vital link between families and the Centre. The purpose of the PAC is to ensure that parents of children attending the Centre have the opportunity to ask questions, express concerns and share suggestions with the Board, which makes decisions for the Centre.

Providing an advisory role in the Centre’s decision-making processes ensures that parents’ perspectives are considered in how the EYFRC operates.

The PAC furthers the purpose of the EYFRC within the four core areas prescribed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education:

  • Information and Referrals
  • Family Wellness and Support
  • Early Learning
  • Parenting Education – including Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)

This 12-member committee is drawn from current program users with children 0-5 years old, and reflects the diversity of the community.
