Early Years Family Centre - Scott Location
Use west doors on 7th Ave. We are downstairs - watch for signs. Parking is available in lot west of the tennis courts (adjacent to Elphinstone St.). Strollers welcome and can be parked downstairs.

Regina's two new Early Years Family Centres provide programs and services to all parents and caregivers of children newborn to age six in Regina. The first two Early Years Centres opened in March, 2013, followed by a third location that is set to open in September, 2014.

We are equipped with:

  • A play and learn space
  • A program room
  • An Early Childhood Facilitator
  • Space for networking and workshops

We offer:

  • Parent and child play-together programs
  • Parent and child music and literacy programs
  • Parent education programs
  • Programs and information sesions facilitated by Health Care Professionals
  • Information about other parenting supports and child development programs in the community.

All programs are FREE unless otherwise stated.

CHILD AND PARENT PROGRAMS
A range of free pre-registered and drop-in programs are offered each month, and are included in our online calendar and newsletter. The programs are specifically selected to support optimal child development.

PARENT EDUCATION
A variety of programs are offered each month based on interest and inquiry. Please see links above for current programming.
 

HEALTH CARE AND COMMUNITY PROFESSIONAL SESSIONS
Our health care partners will facilitate a variety of programs based on interest and inquiry. Classes based on the following topics will be available: nutrition, dental health, child development and speech & language development.

Speech-Language Pathologist (Drop-in)
The speech therapist will be available to answer questions, share information, provide feedback and give direction to families with respect to referrals.

Dental Health Educator (Drop-in)
The Dental Health Educator will be available to answer questions, share information, provide feedback and give direction to families with respect to oral health.
She is also able to offer Dental Screenings and Fluoride Varnish for children up to age 6.

Public Health Nurse (Drop-in)
The Public Health Nurse will be available to answer questions, and share information. She will also bring her baby scale!

School Resource Officer (Drop-in)
The School Resource officer will be available to answer questions, share information and interact with the children.

 

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR
Our Early Childhood Educator will be onsite and available to answer questions. Our educators can also answer questions about the resources found in the play & learn space.
